Building towards Bonneville… Part Five
Part 5 of my original Roadster adventure. At the end of the 2016 race season, I made the decision to put a Blown Ardun in the car. So I contacted Don Ferguson, and placed the order. Well, good things take time, and after Don got the engine done, run on the dyno, time was getting tight. Don mounted it in the car, and Marty had only a month, to build headers, mount the fuel tank, dry sump oil tank, and body modifications, to be ready for Speedweek.
There were some minor bugs, that held down performance, but I made it up, setting the record at 218 and getting a Red Hat, at the World Of Speed in September 2017. More to the story !
P.S. Marty and I couldn't have gotten it done in time, without the help of his brother Tom, just glad he had the the time.
