Building towards Bonneville… Part One

I’m heading back to Bonneville this year, and I thought I’d share some of what has gone into getting me where I am today.

This was the beginning of my original Salt Car. It was originally slated for a 4 CL “B” engine but quickly was changed to a Blown Flathead. I bought the replacement engine Dennis Murry built for the Chili Pepper Rambler that belonged to Vern Tardel. (Click on image to see FULL SIZE)
